3. Is The Goodwill Partners a charity organization?
The simple answer is yes; under its parent organization, The
Goodwill Partners operates under the IRS Code of 1954, Section 170 as a
501(c)(3) and utilizes its structure to support its programs and to
assist charities and other needy organizations accomplish their
financial goals by helping them raise the necessary funds they need to
maintain and grow their research and continue needed community programs.
4. Do The Goodwill Partners receive any government funding?
The Goodwill Partners do not receive any funding from the government and
is completely funded through the promotional programs it runs for the
groups it supports as well as by the individual partners themselves.
5. Are the donations made through The Goodwill Partners
tax-deductible?
The answer to this question is yes, all
donations are tax-deductible. All donors will receive official
tax-deductible receipts so that they may claim their donation when they
file their annual personal/corporate taxes. Also, our unique nonprofit
status and structure creates the opportunity for up to 100% of your gift
and/or donation being eligible as a deduction from your adjusted gross
income – please consult your tax professional for further details.
6. Is it safe to donate online? How do I know?
Technology advancement and security software have made it safe to do
secure transactions online – we use the same technology used by the
banks, department stores, and other financial institutions.
7. Once I make my donation, how long before I can expect to receive
my gift entry card?
It may take anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks
from the time you make your online donation to the time you actually
receive your gift entry card for fulfillment. If for whatever reason you
have not received your card after a 4 week period, please

immediately.
8. What happens if I lose my gift entry card? Am I still eligible to win the
prize?
Should you lose your card for any reason, please
contact us via email for your registration number. The actual card is
not necessary to win as we will retain the tag portion from your card to
be placed for the drawing before sending it to you. However, you will
need your registered number to check back every week to see if you have
won any of the weekly prizes that may be offered during the promotional
period.
9. Why can’t I simply purchase tickets for your promotions?
The tickets that are sent out regarding our promotional contests are
simply gifts from our organizational family to you, a “thank you” for
making a donation to support our programs and our other supported
charities; they are not for sale.
10. How do I become a Goodwill promotional partner?
The Goodwill Partners act under a very strict set of personal rules
and guidelines regarding the companies they choose to work with and
support. If you would like to be considered for a partnership
opportunity with the Goodwill Partners, please complete the form on the
Partnership Application page with your request and someone from the
organization will contact you directly.
11. I would like to raise funds for my charity. Are we eligible to
create a fund raising event?
The Goodwill Partners attempt to
assist as many organizations that fall into its criteria base as is
humanly possible. We realize that even a little help is better than no
help at all. If you would like us to consider your organization or
charity, or would like to engage The Goodwill Partners in any way,
please complete the form on the
Partnership Application page with your request and someone from the
organization will contact you directly.
12. How do The Goodwill Partners determine what charitable
organizations they work with?
The Goodwill Partners
distributes 100% of the net proceeds from each promotion to US 501(c)(3)
organizations as well as other tax-exempt and non-tax-exempt
organizations identified by our staff. In deciding how to distribute our
resources and time responsibly, we look for projects and organizations
that:
-Help reduce inequities in neglected areas -Produce measurable
results -Catalyze increased momentum, scale and sustainability of change -Favor preventative/solution-conscious
approaches -Leverage support from other sources

14. Can I make a donation directly to The Goodwill Partners to help
continue your work?
Aside from our own fundraising efforts,
we seem to never be short for the need of additional funding and rely
heavily on donations from individuals, organizations and corporations to
support our programs (as running our programs and promotions is both
cost and labor intensive) -- one of the best ways to support us, is to
support our promotions.
If you would like to do more than that, our goal is to honor the
intentions of all generous people, generous with both their time and
their money. We currently accept all types of donations including
working vehicles, boats and motorcycles; homes and real estate,
financial and insurance gifts, etc. Should you wish to speak with one of
the Executive Directors regarding such a request and the unique aspects
of our tax-deductibility, please use the
Partnership Application form and
one of them will contact you directly, thank you.

15. Who is the organization that The Goodwill Partners operates under?
The Goodwill Partners operate as the fund raising arm of the United
Yokefellows Ministry; a governmentally chartered, private, non-profit
organization with a long standing history dating back to, and registered
with Dunn and Bradstreet since 1980. Its original function was to simply
support and provide a place where abused women and children could come,
be supported, and feel safe. Today, the UYM supports several charitable
endeavors and strives to assist as many community outreach programs as
it possibly can, especially having to do with senior care and housing.
The UYM is a non-denominational, equal opportunity charity and
organization. Although originally of Christian origin, the UYM touts or
supports no one set of beliefs and attempts to assist all who come to it
regardless of race, color, creed, religious affiliation or belief
system. Having stated that, and although we attempt to remain neutral in
almost everything we do, we in no way knowingly support any type of
gambling, planned parenthood or pornography of any kind.

The Goodwill Partners do offer a link exchange program. If you would
like to be considered for this program, please fill out the form on the
Partnership Application page along with your request. Approved partners
will receive all of the banners and links that may be used on their
website.
19. Can I use images or materials from your website? Are there higher
resolution images?
The entire content of the website is copyrighted and no text or images
may be used without express written permission. Some website images are
available in higher resolutions and other images than those seen on the
website may also be available. A fee for their use and/or reproduction
